A ceramic sculpture that explores the relationship between different cultures. As an immigrant, Jia faced cultural barriers when she came to the U.S. to study. She found it difficult to understand and assimilate into American culture. This mask symbolizes the confusion she has encountered and was the first piece in Jia's Ceramic Mask Series.
